65th Infantry Division in WWII, Framed

The division was activated on 16th of August, 1943 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. 

The division disembarked at Le Havre the in January 1945 and moved to Camp Lucky Strike before traveling across France to Ennery where it established defensive positions prior to assaulting into the Saarland and attacking the Siegfried Line.

The division attacked into Germany moving north to the Mulhausen-Langensalza line, having crossed the Rhine at Hochheim.

The Division then attacked south through Arnstadt, Neumarkt and crossed the Danube at Regensberg.

The division was inactivated in Austria.
